The wedding preparations were going on full blast as both families were really excited for the wedding. The Sharma business was also getting better day by day after the shares given by the Shekhawats. The wedding was in 2 days and the pre-wedding events had already started. Today was the haldi. Heer was in her house getting ready by some makeup artists. The event was at the Shekhawat's palace.
While Heer was getting ready anxiously, the scene at the Shekhawat's house had a different story. Reena was continuously calling Ayaan's phone, and his phone was turned off. Just as she was calling his cell again, the door flew open and there stood Ayaan clad in his 3-piece Armani suit.
"Where were you, beta? Don't you know your event is starting in an hour?" Reena asked.
"It's in an hour, Maa. I am home before it started," Ayaan said nonchalantly.
"Come on, leave this useless talk. Go and freshen up. I have kept your clothes on your bed," Reena said dismissively, moving her hand.
"Aunty, I am really hurt you didn't even ask about me," Ishaan said, making his entry.
"Are you here, Ishaan beta? How could I forget you? And now that you are here, Reyansh and Abhimaan must be here as well," Reena said knowingly.
"You know us really well, aunty," Abhimaan said entering the conversation.
"What are you doing here?" Ayaan said with a sour expression.
"What do you mean, bro? It's your haldi, and unlike you, we definitely don't want to be late," Ishaan said in a mocking manner.
"Yes, Ishaan is right. Now you boys can go outside and check the preparation while Ayaan is going to get ready, and NO MASTI," Reena instructed.
"Yes, ma'am," everyone said going on their way.
Time skip.
The event had already started. Heer was sitting in a guest room in the Shekhawat mansion getting her final touch-ups. She was looking absolutely mesmerizing in a haldi yellow saree, light nude makeup, and beautiful gajre

The guests were starting to arrive gradually. Just as Heer was about to step outside into the venue, she heard someone screaming.
"Heer ki bachchi, ab to tu bach!" someone screamed.
Heer turned around to see her best friend running towards her in a threatening manner. This was Anaya, Heer's childhood best friend who went to New York to finish her studies and is now a renowned architect.
"Anaya, tum yahan? Kaise? Matlab, mai to—" Heer stuttered.
"Bas kar ja bas. Tu shaadi kar rahi hai, aur tu ne bataya bhi nahi. Acha hai ke meri jasoos ne batadiya, warna mujhe pata bhi nahi chalta," Anaya exclaimed dramatically.
"Yaar, aisa nahi hai bas woh itni jaldi hui ke mai bhool gayi???" Heer's sentence morphed into a whisper at the end.
"Beta, ab bacho tum," Anaya was about to say something else when someone cut her off.
"Oho, Anaya, tum kab aayi?" Anand called out from afar, coming towards them.
"Bus, abhi aayi hoon uncle, sorry uninvited aayi hoon kyunke aap ki beti mujhe bulana bhool gayi," she said mockingly and death glaring Heer.
"Arey, tum kahan ki uninvited, tum to apni hi beti ho. Chalo, tum kamrey mai jao, mai tumhare liye koi kapre arrange karta hoon," Anand said.
"Nahi uncle, mai saath lai hoon. Bas change kar ke aati hoon," Anaya replied with a small smile.
She said running away and I saw her bumping into someone. I squinted my eyes; who was he again? I have seen him somewhere. Oh yeah, he is Ayaan's friend, I guess. My anxiousness had disappeared for a while as Anaya kept me busy, but now that I was alone again, the thoughts came back, making me nervous.
"What are you doing standing there, you dumb girl? The event has already started, and the groom has arrived," Madhu snapped angrily.
"Ji, bas aayi," Heer replied.
As Madhu took her towards the stage, all the guests' eyes were glued to Heer. Even Ayaan couldn't look away for a second before he got back into his senses and looked away. He didn't know why his heart was beating so fast.
As Heer was sitting beside Ayaan, she heard someone talk to her.
"Arey, bhabhi, ab samajh aaya ke uncle aur aunty aap ki itni tareef kyun karte hain. Waise mai aap ka devar Ishaan, aur yeh hai Reyansh aur yeh Abhimaan," Ishaan said, introducing everyone.
"Nice to meet you, mai Heer hoon," she said, introducing herself too.
"Of course, hum yeh jaante hain. Aunty to aap ke bare mai bolna band hi nahi karti. Waise aapki baat hai, Ayaan ne aap ko kaise pataya, kahan aap aur kahan yeh," he said, pointing at Ayaan up and down. This made Heer laugh a little as she covered her mouth.
"Agar tum dono ka hogaya hua hai, to hum rasam shuru kar lein," Ayaan said with a sour mood.
Both Heer and Ishaan nodded. The ceremony had started, and everyone came and put haldi on the bride and groom's face. While Heer was just covered on her face and neck, Ayaan was fully covered in haldi as his friends left no opportunity to make him angry.
"Mujhe kaise bhool gayi," Anaya said as everyone turned around to see her.
"Tameez se," Heer whispered.
While Anaya just smirked, grabbing a handful of paste and rubbing it all over Heer's face and neck, Heer gasped while the guests just smiled in awe.
"May the golden glow of haldi fill your life with happiness and love," Anaya said lovingly while Heer smiled.
Now it was time for the groom and bride to put the paste on each other. They both turned to face each other. Heer anxiously got some turmeric paste on her hand and put it on his forehead and cheek while Ayaan's unwavering gaze was fixed on Heer's face. After she applied it, it was Ayaan's turn to do it as he collected the paste and applied it to her forehead. Ishaan and Anaya hooted while everyone was clapping. After the event finished up, Heer had to change her clothes and bathe before she went home. Reena showed her the way to the guest bathroom. Freshening up, she went to find her way outside when she heard someone speaking.
"I don't love her, scratch that, I don't even like her. She means nothing to me, nor she ever will. For me, this is all just a contract and a small way to make my parents satisfied. After a few months, she will be on her way and I will be on mine."
